A veteran dancer and dance educator for the NYC Dept. of Education, Judi currently works as a consultant for the D.O.E. and has a long list of teaching credits. She also supervises student dance teachers at Hofstra University. Other highlights include speaking at Career Transitions for Dancers, creating dance programs and productions, choreographing, directing, lecturing, and performing. Judi supervised the first class of student dance teachers at Hofstra University, Spring 2010, and remains an adjunct faculty member. American Ballet Theater casted her for several seasons in various character roles. Her range (from classical and jazz to modern and musical theater) exemplifies the versatility of her experiences and abilities. She was featured as a dancer in a number of popular night clubs in Miami, including Les Masquerades at The Konover Hotel, Les Violins, and The Copacabana.
Her experiences earned her a number of awards:
*Long Island University Dance Teacher of the Year Award for Excellence in Dance Education and Training at the Secondary Level, 1997.
*The University of the State of New York: Board of Regents and Education Dept. certificate: Goals 2000 ASSETS Project; for leadership and support of the Statewide Arts Assessment Development.
*Hunter College honorarium for supervising student teachers of Dance Education 2000, 2002.
